[comp.sys.atari.st] Using laser printers with Spectre GCR

A friend of mine has a pretty good Spectre GCR setup on his Mega 2, and
would like to add a laser printer. Does anyone have any suggestions on one
that works well? It would be ideal to be able to print directly from the
application without having to exit to download postscript files or some such.
I don't think one that could only be hooked up via serial port would be
good since we have an Apple LaserWriter at work that for various reasons
had to be hooked with RS232 and big files just take to long to transmit to it.
I notice some printers have SCSI ports, and I've heard these are for the
storage of extra fonts. But are these ports also useable for Atari DMA access?

I have heard rumours of Dave Small supportin AppleTalk in his next release
and am wondering if maybe he shouldn't just wait for that. Then he could
probably pick up a LaserWriter Plus somewhere cheap and hook it up that way.
