Where can i get the MAKEFAST program that sets the fastload-bit in the
program-header that allows a program to be loaded and started without
the RAM beeing cleared ?

I found a file called fastload.st on the ruu.nl server, which should
make program startup faster. Instead of filling all remaining ram with
zeroes, it only cleared the BBS section. Author was Leo de Wit, in 1988.
As I seem to recall, there was some discussion whether this was allowed.
Furthermore, the file only contained assembler source, and I find myself
without a proper assembler. So there are two questions:

1) Is this allowed ? I recently upgraded my ST to 2.5 Megs and would
like to speed things up.

2) Does anybody have a binary ? I can send the source if necessary.

Thanks in advance,

	Hans

Get Pinhead, from the Codeheads. It's PD, based on Leo de Wit's code,
but a bit more user friendly. It's available on terminator in new/pinhed14.arc,
and you should be able to find it elsewhere.
