[comp.sys.atari.st] Looking for software to drive a tape drive...

goldman@timbuk.cray.com (Matt Goldman) (03/24/90)

Hello all! I'm looking for some software to drive a SCSI
tape drive. The drive in question is a Teac MT-2ST/45S-24-U.

My current setup is
Mega-4, Supra host adapter, ABC-4070 with a 30 Mb drive, and
a Shugart SCSI to MFM card with a 30 MB disk. I'd like
to be able to use the Teac for backups and long term data
storage.

I'd also like pointers on how to write C code that will get
at the SCSI bus. My compiler is Mark Williams C.

Send me the information and I'll post a summary to the net

NOTE: my e-mail address is goldman@ferris.cray.com, not
goldman@timbuk.cray.com! Timbuk is the machine that I post from.

Thanks!

It's real handy, havin' an Elder God in the band, eh?"

I am also looking for a driver for a SCSI tape drive: the exabyte 8mm
(2 Gbyte) drive. I will be using it with low level SCSI calls for
data logging but would certainly like a standard device driver for it.
Any information on code for SCSI tape drives of any kind would be
useful. (I will use the BMS200 SCSI interface).
