Is anybody using the following Hewlett-Packard terminals the HP 2393A Graphics Terminal, or the HP 2397A Color Graphics Terminal. How do they work on a VAX 11/750 running 4.2BSD UNIX. Do you have any comments about how they preform, etc. Thank you Jack Kingsley decvax!yale!spock!jack glacier!spock!jack

For the past month we have been using a HP 2393a with its touch screen
adapter with impressive results on a SUN system. Granted its not a VAX
but unix is unix (no flames please). We wrote a termcap for both the
2393 and the 2392 but you can use the 2621 termcap with good results.
Overall the 2393 is a most impressive terminal. Its keyboard is very
functional a laid out in an easy to use fashion. It includes keyboard
overlays for its graphic mode and VT-100(ansi) mode. Its graphics and
touch mode are easy to use and understand. The terminal itself is
mounted on both x and y swivels and is easily adjusted. I highly
recommend this product and hope that you enjoy using this clearly
superior product.
