Does anyone know the status of the new version of DVIST (the .dvi previewer) that was discussed on the net about 2 months ago? The author (I can't remember) stated that he should soon release an improved version with support for color monitors. Although I am getting a monochrome monitor finally :-), it would be nice to see an improved version of this excellent previewer.

PS: if you get showdvi for the first time, please pick up showdvifonts.zoo (the font libraries) from dsrgsun too. if you already have the font libraries (from the comp.binaries.atari.st posting of the earlier version of showdvi, or from dsrgsun), before you use the new version of showdvi, you will need to convert the font libraries into the new format. to do this run ``flib -z <library>'' (using the new version of flib.ttp, also in showdvi-0.80.zoo). PPS: showdvi-0.80.zoo also contains flib.c, that can be compiled on a unix host too, making it convenient to make font libraries on your unix host, if you run MFont there. -- bang: {any internet host}!dsrgsun.CES.CWRU.Edu!bammi jwahar r. bammi domain: bammi@dsrgsun.ces.CWRU.edu GEnie: J.Bammi
