I purchased a 30M hard drive a while ago, and it formats fine, partitions fine, but when using ICD's hdutil.prg, the program reports that it cannot find a partion that can support autobooting. I set up all the partitions as GEM partitions. When I called ICD, they said (1) change all the partitions to XXX, then repartion, them back to GEM, and repartion, as the partition info may not be getting written. Nope. Didnt work. (2) dload hdutil from their bbs, as the copy I have may be corrupted (I just received the new ICD disk a week prior). Still no success. Each time I set up to put autobooting on the hard drive, it cannot recognize any partion. The ICD HD ACC recognizes all of the Hard Drive Partions, as does the icdfmt utility. It's hdutil that's giving me problems. Is there anyone out there who's had any success getting hdutil (ver 3.51 i believe) working with a Seagate 4038, or any SCSI drive? -- Patrick B.
