This is the real issue, I don't think it's wrong to post comparisons of the Atari with some other machine, but it's a real drag to have to sit there and wait for a whole screen of "A3000 this and A3000 that" to print out because you hit the space bar expecting to see something about "Re: Atari TT Released". Especially if you have a 1200 baud modem. It would be nice if people were considerate enough to let people know what their post is about without having to wait for a screen full of text. Of course, now that I've pointed this out, I'm sure someone else will say "everybody just post what John Bruno wants to read" (hehe) >I don't think this is the case at all. A few ST users and a few Amiga users >posted specs on the A3000 as a comparison of what was expected >performance-wise from the TT. Actually, what is posted under the "TT Released" header is mostly people correcting previous posts that dealt exclusively with A3000 details. >Then a few die-hard Atari love-it-orleave-it >babies turned on the flame throwers. Maybe we should have comp.sys.atari.tt-amiga-comparisons, but then there wouldn't be any traffic left for comp.sys.atari.st [Discussion of oceanic mammals deleted] >> >>>james "kibo" parry, 138 birch lane, scotia, ny 12302 <-- close to schenectady. >> >>--johnathan.a.tainter-- >> att!ihlpb!tainter > >Chris > >------------------------------+--------------------------- >Chris Mauritz |Donde hay una cerveza >cmm1@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu |hay un plan. >(c)All rights reserved. | >Send flames to /dev/null |El Guerrero Aereo es el rey! >------------------------------+--------------------------- ---jb
