I have a dilemma. I do not know if I should purchase a Used 1o4oST color system or a NEW 1o4oSTe color system. Money is no object, since I can afford either alternative. However, I am beginning to consider whether the STe is really such a bargain. Many used 1o4oST color systems can be had where I live for $4oo. A brand new 1o4oSTe color system will cost me close to $1OOO. I would not mind getting the brand-new 1O4OSTe color system. In fact, this is what I wish to purchase. However: I need to know, does anyone know how much longer the Atari ST series will be in existence? If the STs survive another 5 years, I will definitely go for the brand-new 1O4OSTE. Yet, if the STs will not survive much longer, I think it would be wiser for me to purhase a used 1O4OST and start saving up for a TT.
