I just received my MagicSync multiscan monitor finally. I made a cable to use in color mode. I'd like to get hold of an OmniSwitch, (from Talon Technology?) - does anyone know of a good source & price? I'm also stuck in the game Future Wars. I can't get out of the monastery. Any hints/spoilers would be most welcome. PS - Using Overscan, I get 832 (831) horizontal pixels and 280 vertical in medium resolution. (416 H in lo-rez). This monitor has .28mm dot pitch, rated for 1024x768, 45-90hz vertical refresh, 15.7-36khz horizontal. Has a 9 pin TTL RGB socket as well as a 25 pin analog RGB socket. I rigged up my own cable for the color display, and need a good way to switch into monochrome. PPS - has anyone come up with a hack to make the ST use interlaced video? It'd be nice to get 560 vertical instead of 280... (Tho it's pretty nice right now, 104x35 text in med-rez. Only quirk is that GEM desktop now thinks you're using a "big" screen [which you are, I guess!] and displays windows in 2 columns.) All responses to any/all questions greatly appreciated. -- -- Howard Chu @ University of Michigan one million data bits stored on a chip, one million bits per chip if one of those data bits happens to flip, one million data bits stored on the chip...
