OK, here is a query for all you ST gurus... I know nothing about the ST (OK, I know it runs a 68000 :-), and recently someone asked me about getting rid of an Atari 520ST with color monitor (it was never used...). So my question is, is the 520ST still usable? Does current ST software run on it? Is there a way to increase RAM from the current 512K? What about hard drives? I saw in the docs that it has a HD port: is this SCSI? Can a SCSI drive be somehow convinced to work with the ST? If the answer is that the 520 still has some life in it, then how much money should I give this person for the ST + color monitor? (It would be nice to have both a 386SX and a 68000 box on my desk :-). Thanks in advance for anyone who takes time to answer these very basic questions. Got to start learning somewhere... I still have a 520 ST, expanded to one meg, which has a lot of life in it yet. It is currently networked to my mega 4 and its 105 meg HD using the midi port. Slow, but cheaper than a separate hard drive. I used it for many years and it still would function at 512K but I'd not be able to use the almost half meg. of TSR programs that I use now on my 4 meg. machine. In my opinion $250-300 would be fair, but I'd offer about $200 and dicker.
