Everything I try seems to bog > down somewhere around snorklewacker. I've sent half a dozen queries to Rodney with no luck. Never route anything through snorkelwacker. It's a news-only system -- it does not handle mail. The "Path: " line in Usenet news is intended for preventing loops. Abusing it to create UUCP mail paths is suboptimal at best and often sends your mail into a black hole. -- Steve Yelvington up at the lake in Minnesota steve@thelake.mn.org plains!umn-cs!steve

I have no problem communicating with Rodney and friends. Some addresses that I've tried are: rodney@merkur.gtc.de (Rodney Volz) uunet!mcsun!unido!gtc!aragon!merkur!rodney In addition, you may send to a friend of his (see following). Included are instructions to get Mercury UUCP through FTP. From: Kurt Jaeger aka PI <zrzr0111@rusux1.rus.uni-stuttgart.de> To: ralph@laas.fr Subject: Re: Mercury... Date: 17 Aug 90 20:56:16+0200 Hi !
