[comp.sys.atari.st] DTP Traceing program

bradm@pro-grouch.cts.com (Brad Martin) (08/29/90)

A few months ago I saw a magazine add for an autotracing program that turned
bitmaped images into (I believe) GEM objects. Has this program ever come out,
or does anyone know of any programs that will do this?

And, on another note, what ever happened to Migraph's Adobe Illistrator clone?
Did they get too wraped up in the IBM market and forget about us ST users?

Cute tag lines on request.

There are 2 programs, which can do this for now. First there is PEGASUS,
which only works with bitmaps of 640x400 size. It does it's job perfectly
including all types of mod-tools, which are needed for this kind of work.
The second PRG is TMS Vektor, which runs also with larger bitmaps, but
doesn't seem to work optimal, because the vectorized PIC's look not so close
to the original. They are both available in Germany only.

Bye...Mike
