[comp.sys.atari.st] VIP Problem due to AMCGDOS

silvert@cs.dal.ca (Bill Silvert) (09/01/90)

I recently posted a problem about damaged menu appearances in VIP
Professional. The problem turns out to be due to loading AMCGDOS.PRG in
my AUTO folder -- no AMCGDOS, no problem.

I did verify that the VIP was not damaged -- running from the original
disk (write-protected of course) showed the same problem.

Also, ALTBOOT did not work with AMCGDOS installed -- I though ALTBOOT
came first, but I will have to check. I'd hate to have to choose
between VIP and Gemini!

Regular Atari GDOS causes similar problems with VIP Professional.
