ISD is finally releasing its book The Guide to Calamus Desktop Publishing for general distribution. The book has been available for several months by direct mail to registered owners of Calamus, but it was not possible to just walk into the store and buy it. The book is meant to make up for the horrible deficiencies in the original Calamus documentation as well as to teach advanced techniques and tricks in DTP. I think it is good, but I know the author so I may be biased. It has been out in Canada, the US and Australia for a while, and the UK has just picked it up. Apparently, one of the large UK ST magazines (ST World?) has a review of it, but I have this 4th hand. Here is the reference: Robinson, Bonnie. The Guide to Calamus Desktop Publishing. Toronto: Ditek Intl., 1990. ISBN 1-550-84-000-2. -- //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// David Megginson david@doe.utoronto.ca Centre for Medieval Studies meggin@vm.epas.utoronto.ca ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
