[comp.sys.atari.st] Problems with atari.archive

cs63bld@unccvax.uncc.edu (b. daniels) (09/05/90)

I used to FTP from Terminator at 35.1.33.88 (this FTP program is too dumb to
understand names) but I have not been able to connect to it recently.
I get a FTP timeout message. Has the address changed?

Thanks,
Brian

First off, should you suddenly get an ftp program that does understand
names, the archive is called atari.archive.umich.edu.

Second, the ip address of atari.archive.umich.edu is 141.211.164.8.
U of M recently got of the 35 network and moved to a few class B
networks.

Would it be reasonable to add information to one of the periodic postings
about atari.archive and BART? It's become a VERY important resource to the
ST community. (Thanks people).

RE: Terminator ftp 141.211.164.8

I'm fairly new to the ftp world...how does one get an account on
Terminator?

Thanks in advance for any help,
