Over the past few days, I have been doing a little research on
our dear match lighter. You know, the one who opened the can of worms.
I do whole-heartedly agree with the ignore it, and it will go away
principle, but I also like to make sure that all options are
exercised.
For those of you interested (which I hope would be most of you) I will
include with this post the letter that I received from the sysadmin for
the host from which PETRA was posting from. It is a reply to an inquiry
on their policies for 'maliscious users'. For the fact that I have done
the footwork, I told him that I would not send a retort, but I leave it to
you to do so for yourselves if you feel so inclined (please do)

I'm very sad to hear that one of our users has been causing problems.
Mail to system@vaxc.cc.monash.edu.au to speak to the VAX systems
programmers, or mail to pra@vaxc.cc.monash.edu.au to reach the
Computer Centre Director.
I assure you we take such problems seriously, and will make some effort
to make sure it doesn't happen again.
