[comp.sys.atari.st] Megafile problems

My 2 month old Megafile 30 refuses to boot today and I have
no idea why. When I turn on my ST(after waiting for the busy light to
go out on the hard drive) it starts to boot up but then the screen
flashes and it starts to reboot again, and it continues to cycle through
this with no hope of stopping. What is wrong?????? How do I fix it?????
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You probably will need to boot up with a floppy that has your HD driver on it
It sounds like one of your AUTO programs or an accessory program is hanging up.
This happens to me all the time.

Once you have booted with the floppy (with the driver so you can access your
HD!) you can disable all your suspect AUTO and/or accessory programs.

The best way to prevent this in the future is to get the latest version of
Superboot and install it to run first on your HD. I have it install even
before the fatspeed and pinhead utilities so I can select if I want to run
those (always do anyway).

Superboot will allow you to "turn off" any auto and acc's before they run, so
even when you are trying new setups (real easy to to with superboot) and you
hit an acc that reboots the system for some reason, Superboot runs right after
the reset and you can then disable the trouble acc.
