Help!! I recently added a Syquest 44m removable HD to my Seagate ST157N system (with Gasteiner interface) and it seemed to be alright. However, fairly quickly the Auto folder on drive C became a little flaky, losing most of the progs and bombing on accessories. After a backup and reformat, the problem has not gone away. I managed to get a disk checker to spot several bad sectors right near the beginning of the disk, but they seem to have disappeared again! Does this sound like the results of a minor head crash?? The installation appears to be OK as drives D,E,F,G,H and I still work fine (over the two physical drives). Does anyone have any bright ideas?? I am pretty sure it is a hardware problem, as it seems to act independently of the software installed. any help would be much appreciated
