I'm sorry to post with this problem again, but the circumstances were slightly different this time. (Thanks to Howard and Bill for replying to my earlier post.) I have been able to follow instructions to get PCDITTO to boot DOS from C:. In the past, the boot capability seemed to disappear when I messed around with the GEM autofolder under TOS. Well, I went through setting up C: to boot from DOS again, and everything was fine...until it didn't work again! This time I DID NOT mess around with the autofolder...I may have copied files around on the disk, but I don't see why that should cause a problem. I was told that io.sys and msdos.sys had to be the first files on the disk. Well, I checked with DLII, and it listed them as the first two files in the directory tree...Isn't that good enough? I guess not. Well, there must be something going on here that I don't totally understand (not too unbelievable). So if anybody can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it...I need to understand what to do, AND know what program to get that will allow me to do it! Thanks very much. --Gerry maxg@suvm (bitnet) ggreenbe@rodan.acs.syr.edu
