[comp.sys.atari.st] Minix patch in atari.archive.umich.edu

killer@niksula.hut.fi (Kalle Kivimaa) (10/15/90)

Has anyone had problems with the ST-Minix upgrade patch (v.1.5.10) found
in atari.archive?

I ftp'd it and it doesn't unpack at all. Decompress in Minix 1.1 or in Sony
workstation only gobbles up disk space up to several megabytes.

Hi. I created that upgrade set. I've gotten mail from several people who
have applied it successfully. Did you ftp in binary mode? Did you cat all
the pieces together before trying to uncompress it? Those are the only
reasons I can think of for it to have failed to uncompress...
