--- i have (finally) decided to start using gcc on the ST and am putting Alcyon aside. too many #ifdef ALCYON's in my code, i guess... however, i would like to know just how good GEM/line A support is with that compilation system. i know the libraries (gemfast, et al.) exist, but i don't remember seeing mention of their relative quality compared to (say) Alcyon's bindings. can someone drop me a line with some general recommendations regarding GEM programming (AES, VDI) with gcc? do GEM applications port easily to gcc? obviously unix-oriented shell applications do... what is making me switch? MiNT (thanx, eric) and MGR and another 60 MB HD for my mega4 :-)... -bill rosenkra%c1yankee@convex.com -- Bill Rosenkranz |UUCP: {uunet,texsun}!convex!c1yankee!rosenkra Convex Computer Corp. |ARPA: rosenkra%c1yankee@convex.com
