[comp.sys.atari.st] .MSA Extender

slyster@questor.wimsey.bc.ca (Stuart Lyster) (10/19/90)

When you find a file with an .MSA extender, that referes to the Magic Shadow
Archiver. I have run into the situation, too, of un-.LZHing a file and
finding an .MSA within. Magic Shadow Archivers are available at most ST BBS
systems of any size, at least in Vancouver, BC, Canada, it is on nearly all
the free boards, and is Public Domain. If you are really stuck, and don't
mind calling long distance, it is on my BBS at (604)531-1245.

OK. Recently I logged into a local BBS and downloaded a file, extracted
the file only to find a .REB extension. What in the h_ll is this ?

   Any help would be appreciated.

   Thanx in Advance, Paul Moreau.

This is a file for the pirate program PRO-REBEL. It uses hacked copies of
PROCOPY running under a front end that enables one to save a disk to a file
with copy protection info (to allow modeming protected disks). I doubt very
seriously that the PROCOPY folks condon this program.
