Hello, I recently bought an external drive, and have set about hooking it up to my 1040st. I have the correct cable, and power supply, but cannot get the st to acknowledge the drive. The odd thing is, is that the external will spin along with the internal drive when I try and access drive B.... but anyways...I have heard that most drives cannot go at the speed required by the st, so that you need a program to set the drive step rate (?) to a speed that the drive can handle. My big question, then, is: does anyone know where I can get such a program? By the way, the drive is a 5.25" Chinon drive fz 502 (just in case someone else has had experience with this particular model, and has any advice.....)
