Recent discussions have touched on the Spectre GCR. I have a Spectre 128 and regard it as an excellent accessory for the Atari. Recently I have encountered one odd little bug. I have K1 Ed-Lib from Drumware, which uses a little gadget plugged into the joystick port for copy protection. This gadget seems to drive the Spectre wild, making the mouse unusable. I'm using version 1.9 of the Spectre software while waiting for the new version 3.0. I have TOS 1.4 - if that matters for anything. Has anyone seen this problem before, and is there any solution short of unplugging the joystick gadget or putting it on a switch? Bob Carlitz

Did you send in your reg card? Does GBSmall know where to get hold of you? Have you told them about the problem? Dave & cohorts are still spending a lot of time patching up Mac programs so they work according to Hoyle. Oh yeah, just for fun, write or call the company that makes [I forget what it's called; I deleted that part of your posting] and tell them it freaks out the mouse on your Mac. Don't let on that you're using a Spectre. They may have already gotten bug reports from other Mac users, and have a fix available. Good luck. Ray ----------
