Selling stock in the manner described is very common. In fact in most daily papers that print NYSE and other listings, you can find a complete list of people who have traded stocks in this fashion. It is usually in the lower corner of the page in a nearly microscopic typeface. This is not necessarily a lack of confidence on the part of the trader; frequntly they are gifts to family members, etc. Another thing, there is a buyer for every seller. For every sahreholder that is panicky about the state of Atari and unloads stock, there is another person buying it because he feels it is worth owning. With this in mind, I'm not going to be worried about Atari.
