Since I wrote ST Blank, this worries me. Which version of ST Blank are you using, and how, exactly, does ST Blank interfere? I've just released version 1.3.1. Among many other improvements and fixes, this latest version regards output to any device other than IKBD as "activity". This means that ST Blank now does not cut in during file transfer and printing. ST Blank 1.3.1 has just been posted to comp.binaries.atari.st, and the Lancaster PD server but I'll mail it to you if you can't get hold of it.
