I find myself in the unique position of getting to play with my favorite toy at work!! We are using an Atari to drive a digital error injector unit that is able to inject random errors into any digital link up to T1 rates. We have been compiling using MWC, but to get really quick we would like to use GNU-C on either our SUN-3s or one of our SPARC-stations. I know the ports to cross-compile on a sun were maintained by Jwar Bammi (sp?) at dsrgsun.ces.cwru.edu, but that machine hasn't answered the internet in ages. Does anyone know where else I can ftp the stuff I need to set up a complete cross-delevopment system on a SUN to compile some straight-forward TOS type programs for the ST (no GEM stuff). We hope to develop on the SUN, dump to the atari using the RS-port and execute away. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out on this, as I have long been the lone ATARI fanatic here at work and would like to capitalize on this golden opportunity to show the MS-DOS types here in the lab what our trusted machine can do!! I would appreciate talking to someone who has done this type of cross-compiling ASAP!! Please leave me E_mail or post the replies if you can't get to me using either of these addresses: jlong@hera.radc.af.mil longj@lonex.radc.af.mil -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Capt Jeff Long longj@lonex.radc.af.mil | | Rome Air Development Center (315) 330-7751 | | Communications Networking Branch (DSN) 587-7751 |
