[comp.sys.atari.st] inimf and mf

Hi there.

First of all, the SLM804 is a write white printer. That's the main point
why it doesn't print correct with just any .pk files.

But first. There is a big difference between inimf and virmf (what you
call mf). inimf stands for initial mf, and virmf for virgin mf. inimf can
do most of the things virmf can do, but it uses a lot of memory to build
a fast loadable dump of it's set of macro's. Now virmf can not dump the
macros, but it has all the memory to do it's calculations.

Usual invocations:
  inimf plain \dump
and:
  virmf &plain cmr10

Now for the Atari Laserprinter. I do have some documents on write white
printers. There is also a set of macros to add to plain.mf that can take
care of the right things to do with a ww printer engine. I can send
those if you like. Just yell.
