I have Uniterm, and do use it on occasion, but my real favorite is Flash 1.6.
It is not as snazzy, but has some features that I like. I especially like the
way one can switch between the capture buffer/editor and the terminal screen
with a single mouse click. The find string function (in the capture buffer)
allows me to locate obscure stuff that I did quickly ("Hmmm, did I really
delete that file??"). Thus, every session has a complete log that I can
search through either by string or by GEM slider bar. It does not support
Kermit (it has Xmodem and ascii u/dloads), but there is an desktop accessory
that provides this. My only annoyance is that when on a mono monitor,
underlined text looks great UNLESS you are using TurboST (it does not come out
as underlined at all under Turbo). This program would benefit a lot from the
faster screen routines in Turbo (in the GEM editor/capture screen), but I
need my underlines!!! This was discovered on a friends system, and is the
reason why I have not invested in TurboST (I believe the version was 1.6).
Does anyone know if the newer version has this same problem with Flash? What
about QuickST? I would buy one of these programs if Flash would work correctly
with it. I keep Uniterm around for two big reasons: Kermit and itty bitty
fonts (which I sometimes need). For the daily grind however, I prefer Flash.
