Patchlevel 4 of the MiNT library (for the gcc) is now available at atari.archive.umich.edu (check the directory atari/newitems). There are two files: mntlib4.zoo: source code for gnu*.olb, and all include files mntolb4.zoo: compiled .olb files (including curses, pml, and gem) plus all include files The latter file is provided for the benefit of those who had trouble compiling patchlevel 3. It also provides an alternative for those getting the gcc for the first time; all the necessary libraries are here in one package. There are a number of bugfixes in patchlevel 4 (including fixing the infamous 16 bit malloc bug), some new functions (fopenp and tfork), and some attempts to make the code a bit more in line with ANSI C and POSIX. -- Eric R.
