Hello, Hej, Salut, Hola, Ciao... I'm looking for a virus-killer able to cure Link-Viruses infections... The programs I use can only cure *normal* (ie boot-strap) viruses. Also looking for the TT Control Panel Accessory with its CPX's. Can someone send me these files by e_mail ??? Does this mean you have found such a virus? I was under the impression that this type has not yet been seen on the ST. George Woodside would probably like to get a copy of it if you have found one, so he can incorporate it into his VKILLER program (an excellent piece of software). Over in Europe link-viruses (like the Crash virus) is common. My friend had (yes HAD) a harddisk where all the PRG-files was infected. After a while (when you have started the programs a number of times) they won't work any more - VERY FUNNY :-( Lars-Erik / ABK-BBS +47 2132659 / ____ ______ ________________________ Osterud / larserio@ifi.uio.no / /___ / The norwegian ST __________/ ______________________/ ____/ / Klubben, user association

It's a commercial product that's up to version 3.9. There's another program here in germany which examines the structure of executables and tells you if they are possibly infected. But it cannot cure the programs - I didn'd see such a virus killer for the ST until now. The program is called SAGROTAN and is up to version 4.12, I think. The author is Henrik Alt and at least version 4.03 is in the public domain (or should I better say freeware?). SAGROTAN is an easy-to-use GEM program and has some libraries of boot sector virii, executable boot sectors and normal applications which are user-extendable. I use it every time I get a new disk/program. I don't know, if there's a version available by anonymous ftp. If not, I can upload it to our archive here (cs.uni-sb.de) or to atari.archive, in case it's not allready there. Is there any interest? (note that docs and program texts are in german) Wolfgang --- internet: wolf@cs.uni-sb.de
