[comp.sys.atari.st] Flash

I have noticed a similar problem when using the VT100 emulator.
I get about a full screen of text in the buffer and then I
get a screen full of carriage return. This isn't nearly as big
of a problem as you have but it is a big inconvenience when
I try to read the buffer. Oh well, someone will come up with a
better solution than Flash soon.

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to edit flash so that it emulates a VT100 terminal
correctly. Flash wont recognize all of the escape sequences. It doesn't
seem to be able to recognize things like :
      Flashing text
      Double sized text
      Underlined text
      Inversed text
      ... and a few others

Also, does anyone know what the most recent version of flash is?
  I am using version 1.6

Dough

Thank you :)

To the best of my recollection, Flash doesn't recognize any of the VT100 AVO
(Advanced Video Option) features, which most of those are. Are you sure about
the inversed text, though? I recall using Flash with EDT a lot.

Flash basically handles the things that the plainest-vanilla VT100 would be
able to handle, except for 132-column mode.

For a more capable terminal emulator, I would recommend Uniterm. It does a
pretty good job with almost all the VT100 stuff, including a good hack for
the 132-column mode (you get about 126). The VT220 clone I'm typing this on
doesn't do as good a job as Uniterm. Also, it has Kermit built in, besides
the BBS-oriented protocols. And the price is right.

Can't help you there - the last version I used was 1.52 or something close.

Hello World

I need some help with the translation table in Flash. I can't change the
backspace key to a backspace, I'm getting ^h when I hit it. I know how to
change regular keys, but the backspace and delete is killing me.
And I don't want to die just yet.

Also in Uniterm, is there a capture buffer than can be viewed with a click
of the mouse like in flash?
Thanks.
Matthew
