Well, My 1040st is completely fried. Thanx all who sent mail. I went to syntronics (comm ave, Boston) and they told me the machine was toast. So I got a 1040ste. It's really cool. Anyway, how do I do the 'startgem' on the ste? It won't work, but I seem to remember seeing a different way of doing the same thing. later, Steve Selick <selick@bucsf.bu.ed> or <engcyjc@buacca.bu.edu>

Get STEPLAY and some good Noisetracker mods. You're all set! Show an Amiga user. ;^) - Anyway, how do I do the 'startgem' on the ste? Select Install Application from the Options menu, select AUTO, and save the desktop. Quick tip: if you want the desktop to come up in medium resolution without the use of STE_FIX.PRG, change the 12 to 13 in the fifth line of DESKTOP.INF. -- Ed Krimen ............................................... ||| Video Production Major, California State University, Chico ||| INTERNET: ekrimen@ecst.csuchico.edu FREENET: al661 / | \ SysOp, Fuji BBS: 916-894-1261 FIDONET: 1:119/4.0
