Has anybody successfully gotten tos 1.6 to work on a 1040st? Does Atari support such a move? For how much? ~d

Why would you want to use TOS 1.6 on a regular 1040ST? The only difference between TOS1.4 and TOS1.6 is that 1.6 supports the additional hardware of the STEs. If you were thinking of adding some kind of accelerator board (like the Turbo- 030, Gadgets 030), they will come with a modified TOS1.6 that essentially strips out the code that addresses the additional hardware that only exists on STEs.
