There's a serious bug in MiNT 0.7. The code that attempts to recognize Minix partitions can fail on some AHDI formatted drives (ones with >1 logical partition in a physical partition); as a result of this failure, MiNT crashes. There is a simple "fix" for those of you who encounter this problem and have the source code: in the file mint.h, comment out the line that says: #define MINIX_FS and recompile. If you don't have the source code/can't compile it, a "fixed" binary is included in the file mint071b.zoo which I've uploaded to atari.archive. Two versions of the program are included: the one identified as MiNT version 0.7.1 is the binary without Minix filesystem support, which should work on all drives; the older MiNT version 0.7 is included for those of you with Minix who don't use AHDI. Read the "readme.1st" file in the archive for more detailed information. -- Eric R.
