A friend of mine with an ST wants to buy the cartridge for it that will allow the ST to emulate a Mac (sorry I don't know the name of it, but I don't have an ST...) and wants to know how one goes about getting the Mac ROMS that the cartridge needs to run. Can anyone give me any clues on this? -- Michael D'Alessandro, M.D. The Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications Educational Technology Branch The National Library of Medicine sandro@lhc.nlm.nih.gov

That product you are hunting is Spectre GCR, made by Gadgets by Small. You should enter a message here subjected something like: Wanted: connection with Gadgets by Small or Wanted: David Small from Gadgets by Small and ask him. (he is the developer of this emulator) Or get a ST oriented magazine, American one preferred. There is certainly at least one ad concerning it in that magazine. I purchased mine from Germany. At least there they were able to sell both the emulator and 128k Mac ROMs at the same place. *** Jari Lehto, jartsu@otax.hut.fi, s37837k@saha.hut.fi ***

Mac ROMs for the Spectre cartridge are advertised by Microtyme at $129. They are an Ohio-based mail order firm, which many in this newsgroup have praised, and their toll-free order number is 1-800-255-5835. They sell the Spectre cartridges, too.
