Are there any binaries available that will capture data headed for the printer port and re-route it to a file? I've got an ST that a friend of mine wants to use for wordprocessing, but she'd prefer to send the output files to a highspeed laser on one of our unix systems, rather than print her documents on the cheapie printer attached to the ST. Someone suggested barrel.prg a few weeks ago, but the copy I found on compuserve provides spooling to ram only, rather than to disk. -- Russell Lawrence, WP Group, New Orleans (504) 443-5000 russ@wpg.com uunet!wpg!russ

Using Barrel you spool your output to a RAM buffer first, then you call Barrel again. It will let you write the RAM buffer to a disk file then. -- Dipl.-Inform. The spooler size is more configurable and all the other features are excellant too. > >-- > Dipl.-Inform. Rainer Klute klute@irb.informatik.uni-dortmund.de > Univ.
