[comp.sys.atari.st] amiga samples on the ST?

Frank.Moehle@arbi.informatik.uni-oldenburg.de (Frank Moehle) (01/03/91)

Hi everybody out there,

Merry xmas and a happy new year!

And here is my question :

Does anybody know how convert Amiga samples to
the .snd - format used by play, digivec and all
these funny pd soundlpayers?
The .snd format is compatible to the one that the
apple MAC uses.
(the amiga samples are in RAW DATA format,
but a friend of mine can convert them to any
 other common amiga-format)
anything may help!

Thanx in advance,
		    Frank

Get DIGIEDIT.LZH from atari.archive. Load the Amiga sound as 'raw
data,' as opposed to 'ST Replay file.' Click on CONVERT. Select
Option #2 under the Options menu to save the file. Don't play the
file from DigiEdit.  Converted Amiga files will still sound garbled;
you have to convert it back to an Amiga file for it to sound right
from within DigiEdit. Use another player, like play, beep, click, or
digivec as you suggested, to play the converted Amiga file.
