Just received my computer back from ICD with their accelerator board in it. Works very nicely. It comes with software .PRG and .ACC that lets you the CPU between 8 and 16 Mhz. 8 is only really needed for Spectrum pictures in my experience so far. The improvement in speed of operations is quite noticeable. Haven't run any benchmarks, I'm not into that kind of thing. What I am interested in is that it causes an obvious speed up of the in modem programs, Calamus and EZDraw are enough faster so redraws no longer drive me nuts. If it's as well designed as it looks and lasts as as my ICD HD HA, I shall continue to be a happy computer. Take a look at one if you are in the market for an ST accelerator. This one is really a neat design, very small and it works transparently to the user.

Colud you please run some of the standard (seive, savage, float, etc.) benchmarks and post the results. Just a quick note to let folks know about the IC AdSpeed ST 16MHz accelerator. I bought one from MicrOtyme for $229. Had it installed by ICD for $40. I love it! I have been spending most of my time in PageStream lately. It really speeds it up. Is seems to be compatible with all my software. The only thing it causes trouble with is my QMI Deskcart (maybe it does'nt like to be read so fast?). It speed up Flight Simulator II without any adverse effects. The general speed up is around 66%, but can be much faster if the code contains loops that stay in the 32K on-chip cache. If you're considering an an accelerator, go for it!
