Having recently purchased a Yamaha PSS-790 synthesizer, I've found that most song files with percussion tracks sound terrible (naturally, because the keyboard mapping of drums to keys on the Yamaha is different than a Roland or Casio). So, is there any relatively easy way to modify the song file to sound decent? Or is there basically no way to know whether a C# on the percussion track is supposed to map to a bass drum on the original synth and a G# is a high-hat...the resulting cacophony of drums, bells, whistles, and voices is interesting, but surely not what the original musician intended! -- ################################################################################ # Bill Sheppard -- bills@microware.com -- {uunet, sun}!mcrware!mwca!bill # # Microware Systems Corporation --- OS-9: Seven generations beyond __/_!! # #######Opinions expressed are my own, though you'd be wise to adopt them!#######
