I have a 1040ST and a Epson LX-80 printer. It seems to translate character 12 decimal into an endless series of form feeds. When I try to print a document in 1st Word all I get are form feeds until the paper runs out. In WordWriter the first page prints followed by form feeds until the paper runs out. In Degas Elite the image prints out and is also followed by many form feeds. In STBasic sending character 12 decimal should send a form feed. On my system it sends form feeds until the paper runs out. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this happens? Or more importantly does anyone know of a solution? Please respond to me if possible. Thank you. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> <> <> <> To:John Barkaus <> <> At:The Cooper Union for ihnp4!philabs!phri!cooper!john <> <> the Advancement of cmcl2!phri!cooper!john <> <> Science and Art "phri!cooper!john"@nyu.arpa <> <> <> <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

I have an epson 500 LQ which I bought used. It did not have a manual for it, so I am stuck not knowing what the DIP switches are used for. If someone has this printer, please mail me what the DIP switch settings do, because they are not like my other Epson. Also, nothing seems to want to underline, so the command for start and stop underline would be helpful. (Again, this works on my JX-80, but no underline on the LQ500!) Thanks in advance.
