Ok now that Apple has realized the ][ line is dead, they are going to start
pushing the Mac LC with the Apple ][ emulator card. What I would like to
know is why Atari won't want to try the same. How much work would it take
to put a 65C02 on a cadrtridge, and write the necessary software? Since GBS
has figured out how to write GCR disks, with it you could run ProDOS also
in the ST's drives.
With the new Mega STe, it could really be a Mac LC killer, all it has to do
is take the educational world by storm. Schools will like the idea of
being able to buy two Megas for the price of one LC. (The price that was
being quoted in Comp.sys.apple2 was $3500 with 2 megs and a 60 meg hard
drive!!)

There is only one thing wrong with that idea... System software....to run the apple programs on.... Unless you have a good pool of lawyers, I wouldn't think Atari would think about something like this kind of venture. --Gregory
