I am sorry for having to use a "form" type letter, but it
seems that the user mfolivo has achieved quite a " fan ;-) "
club in the past few days and many are quick to let me know.
I thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have a
strong suspicion that the user will be posting an apology
letter to the amiga and atari newsgroups, as I am sure that
the others involved will.
I am aware that we all have our off days, but that does not
validate flaming each other. The spirit of usenet is the sharing
of information with others. This is hopefully to be done with the
informative discussion of the strengths and weakness of each
computer system as pertaining to various applications.
Heated discussions are best dealt with via E-Mail, not public
ridicule.
I am not coming from the view point of the dreaded "NET POLICE"
as usenet is suppose to be an uncensored forum. I am not asking
for users on this system, or others, to fear censorship. What
I am asking is that users practice informative posting, not
emotional. The other reason is that I prefer to lead a fairly
quite life, as do most system administrators. Please, the next
time a flame war enzyme attacks the brain cells, resist the urge.
A copy of this letter will be send to all those who have written
me, the offending user on this system and posted to both the
amiga and atari groups.
Now maybe I can go back to sleep! :-)
