[comp.sys.atari.st] Demos on Terminator Hz problem?

JJL101@psuvm.psu.edu (J.J. Lehett) (02/17/91)

I downloaded final cut, acid2, neworder, and such demos from terminator's
ftp site. I got New Order to work fine. Hoewever Acid2 says one or 2 words th
en bombs, and final cut will give me the opeinging screen but then sit forever
when I press the space bar to start the thing. However, if I use the changehz
program that comes with it, the program seems to work fine, but my tv is
flipping horizontally badly. I am using a 1040 ST. Is there any way around
these problems? Any responses would be greatly apprciated.

Use changehz.prg before you run Acid2 and it should run fine.

Do you mean vertically, or is your TV really flipping horizontally??
If vertically, this happens when you change the scan rate. Simply
adjust the vertical hold, that is, if you have a vertical hold
adjustment on your TV. If horizontally, that's a new one for me. ;^)
