[net.wanted] Need info on flights to NY from Reston, VA

okinaka@ssc-bee.UUCP (03/14/86)

I will be visiting Reston, VA in the later part of May from Seattle, WA
and would like to visit NY for a couple of days before I come back to
Seattle. Does anybody know a good way to get to NY from Reston, VA?
I probably want to fly to NY and heard there are some type of commuter
airplane which is less expensive than normal airlines like Pan Am.
I would appreciate any information on the best way to get to NY.
Thank you.

If the Washington DC airports are convenient for you, Eastern, Piedmont, and
NY Air have off-peak fares to NY that are really good deals. Since the
fares are changing about twice a day these days, you'll have to check with
the airlines for exact rates. It seems to me they should be in the $50.00
one-way range. You don't mention how you're getting to and from Seattle, but
unless you're locked into returning from Reston, you might want to check out
a special $89.00 fare being offered from NY to Seattle by some of the
regularly scheduled airlines. There are restrictions - check with United or
American, or People's Express.

There are several flights/day from Dulles to NYC. These are real flights,
not commuters. EA, PE, are two airlines. Check the OAG or a travel agent,
or call the airlines directly.
