[comp.sys.atari.st] Personal Pascal and TOS 1.4

tony@tacky.cs.olemiss.edu (Tony Reynolds) (02/24/91)

I just upgraded to TOS 1.4 and am checking my ST for incompatible
programs. I have been unable to compile a simple Bezier surface
program with Personal Pascal 2.02. Has anyone heard about 2.02
being truly incompatible? How about a phone number for the company
that is now supporting Personal Pascal?

On the good side, CAD3D2.0, WordPerfect, VIP Professional, Mark Williams'
C ver 3.0.2, and Uniterm all seem to work flawlessly.

Man, am I worried

I have no problems with Personal Pascal 2 and TOS 1.4 - None at all !!!
But the compiler don't like GDOS. When GDOS is installed I can only run the
compiler 4-5 times before the system f###s up 100% :-( If you run the
compiler without GEM (from a command shell) every thing is OK, or if you get
rid of GDOS (or G+PLUS) everything is OK. Anyone with a solution ?

Ok. I give up. The file I was trying to compile had wierd characters
at the end of it, so PP thought it had 146 lines when it only had 129.

I prematurely posted, and many thanks to those who put up with me
and/or mailed back to me with "no problems" reports.

On the other hand, I really seem to have seen *NO* incompatibilities
with TOS 1.4, other than FATSPEED :-).
