This is a "feeler", I will definitely be selling these items - but would
like to get an idea of what I can get - if you like these prices, send me
e-mail and odds good that are you will get them!
- Mega 4 ST. 1.5 year old Mega 2 with 2 additional megs of 80ns RAM
memory *professionally* soldered onto the motherboard
into Atari pre-drilled holes. (All the RAM chips are
80ns, I've seen some Mega systems with as high as 150ns
chips in them!) Very quiet floppy drive. In outstanding
condition, TOS 1.4 professionally installed.
$899
- ToadFile 44Meg SyQuest Removable hard drive.
Custom manufactured by the boys at Toad Computers. In an
ICD-Style case which fits perfectly and quite attractively
under the Mega 4 CPU. The case holds one SyQuest 44meg
removable drive and has plenty of room for another front-
access drive bay for a 5.25" floppy, 3.5" floppy, or another
SyQuest mech. The power supply in the case will handle the
extra drive with lots of power to spare. Also note that the
case has two ports on the back for easy daisy-chaining of
peripherals like an Atari laser or SuperCharger. Includes
three pre-formatted SyQuest 44Meg cartridges. This drive
is used as my main hard drive with simply outstanding results.
The drive actually ran faster than my old Seagate 157N and
the real beauty was the ease with with I could switch from
ST mode, to Mac emulation, to PC emulation - all it took was
changing the cartridge!
$725, including all 3 cartridges,
(the carts run $90-120 EACH if purchased seperately!)
- Spectre GCR The premiere MacIntosh emulator which not only runs
98%+ of all Mac software, but also directly reads
and writes Mac disks. Includes the now very-hard-to-find
MacIntosh 128K ROM chip set and 10 blank disks. All
documentation and every Gadgets by Small newsletter is
included in this package.
$375
- Atari SM124 mono monitor
In excellent condition, seen 1.5 years worth of use
without any complaint. Includes the Atari monitor swivel
base attachment.
$125, $99 if purchased with Mega 4.
- Atari SC-1224 color monitor
Also in excellent condition, seen almost no use since
SM-124 was purchased. Very early Atari model which has
a far sharper picture than the newer Atari color monitors.
$199, $125 if purchased with Mega 4.
>>> Whoever purchases the Mega 4 may also buy BOTH monitors for $175.
- Epson LQ-850 24 pin dot-matrix printer
In excellent consition and seen very light use, used
exclusively as a backup printer (read> sat in its
original box) after purchase of Atari laser. Includes
two extra ribbons. Fast and quiet operation.
$389
- Puriden Power and Phone Line Surge Suppressor and Line Conditioner
This is a flat pizza-box style power base and surge supressor
the fits perfectly under the hard drive (so in my setup, from
bottom to top I have this power base which is about 1.5 inches
high, the ToadFile hard drive, the Mega 4 CPU, and the mono
monitor on top. This is a very high quality and all metal power
base that has a Master switch and seven individual switches for
the computer and up to six peripherals. It also has phone jacks
that prevent phone line surges from damaging your modem.
$75
- Master 3D 3.5" external floppy drive
Rated the best by STart magazine. Very small design and housed
in an all metal case barely larger than the drive mech itself!
Will read and write out to track 84 without complaint and is th
e
quietest floppy drive I've ever heard.
$99
If someone wants a superior and totally read-to-run ST power system, the packag
e
price is $2,299 and will include a ton of software, blank disks and literally
hundreds of dollars worth of other accessories including joysticks, printer
stands, blank disks, a pile of commerical games and application software, PD
software, magazines, and any and every thing else I have lying around that has
to do with the ST that I've gathered in the past four years.
I will even pay UPS shipping anywhere to the lower 48 states.

Pete... the one remaining question is: Why are you selling such an excellent Atari ST system..? BobR

I would be willing to sell each piece separately if I could find a home for all of them. An exception to this is the Laser Printer which I would be willing to sell without selling any other part of the system. The same could be said for the commercial software I have. Please respond with any offers to this account... Ron D.
