[comp.sys.atari.st] ADM3A terminal emulation

al885@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Gerard Pinzone) (02/22/91)

Is there any way for the Atari ST to emulate an ADM3A or ADM5 termianl?
Also it it possible to edit interlink or Flash to acomplish this?

BTW, I need to know if there are any good FTP sites with ST files,
please reply to me e-mail.

I haven't heard of any ADM3A, but how about ADM31? If that will work for you, get the "Unix
Windows" program from atari.archive. It does adm31 AND allows multiple windows over a phone
line (if you are connected to UNix host which can run the server). UW will support kermit and
ascii downloads. It is not unbearable slow even at 1200bps. Also, it isn't a memory hog!
I have a 520ST with the following auto folder progs: QuickST2.2, Little Green File Sel, Oatbran,
Vkiller virus monitor, Fatspeed. There is about 150K left over (each window takes about 30k).
I believe there is a 7 window limit.

NOTE: UW only works in monochrome, but I have used it with a monochrome emulator on a color
machine.

All in all, it isn't as polite as Uniterm, but is still a VERY USEFUL program!
