[comp.sys.atari.st] How much should I pay for used color monitor?

A friend of mine has an Atari ST color monitor that I am considering
buying.  My questions are:

 1. How much is a fair price to pay him for a used color monitor (I
    don't want to jip him nor me)

 2. What is the current mail order price for a new monitor?
