[comp.sys.atari.st] Typing Tutors

SAMcinty@exua.exeter.ac.uk (Scott McIntyre) (03/09/91)

Hullo. My fiancee is in dire need of a typing tutor for my STE..are
there any public domain ones around, or very inexpensive non-pd ones?
Keep in mind that software in the UK is about twice the price of the
USA.

I seem to recall that Mavis Beacon has one, but that it won't work on
a STE. I've got a 4meg STE, so if that matters...whateve.r

Thanks.

OH, one more thing, are there any places in the united kingdom where
I can get pd software other than lancs.pdsoft?

Thanks,
Scott

I just uploaded TYPIST.LZH to atari.archive.umich.edu, an anonymous ftp
site. TYPIST is a bare-bones typing tutor. Works only in low res. No
stats given on typing speed or accuracy. I thought I had another one,
which was better, but I couldn't find it. And it works on the STe.

Is lancs.pdsoft a PD disk distributor or an ftp site? It's probably the
former, but there's always the chance that it's the latter. :^)
